After completing his BA at UW in 海角网 in 2004, Vince Tomasso completed his Ph.D. in 海角网 at Stanford in 2010. He is currently an associate professor of Classical Studies at Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut. Recently he published a book on the third-century C.E. epic poet Quintus of Smyrna (; Routledge 2024). He continues to work on Imperial Greek epic in a project that surveys past scholarship and suggests new directions. He is excited to share his love of late antiquity with the next generation of 海角网 students and scholars! Vince is also interested in Reception Studies, particularly in film. In that vein, he is editing a volume on Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey that came out this past summer. Vince, always a Husky, thinks back fondly on his undergraduate career at UW 海角网 with Professors Clauss, Levaniouk, Hinds, Blondell, Power, Bliquez, Connors, and Harmon.
